Abstract:
This study provides a comprehensive examination of drug delivery systems, focusing on nanoparticles derivedfrom chitosan, silica, and poly(lactic-co-glycolic acid) (PLGA) for cancer therapy. Nanoparticle-based DrugDelivery Systems (NDDSs) are emerging as promising options for treating cardiovascular diseases due to theirenhanced efficiency and extended half-life, despite ongoing concerns about cellular toxicity. For diabetes,transdermal systems have surfaced as an effective treatment method. This review offers a holistic perspective onthe advancements and challenges of NDDSs, emphasizing their applications in managing cancer, cardiovasculardiseases, and diabetes.
