Energy Management in Smart Buildings with SCADA Systems abstract
Modern buildings are constructed based on electrical and mechanical principles that are essential for maintenance and basic facilities. These buildings should generally be designed to provide better comfort and efficiency for residents. Therefore, building control is a crucial part of the architecture of any building. To achieve the best control strategy, focusing on the building's electrical and mechanical structure is important. This study examines a smart building that can control energy resources, prevent losses, and reduce greenhouse gas emissions. The building management system is a part of smart buildings used for maintaining and controlling electrical equipment, chillers, fire alarms, and security systems. This research demonstrates how to control a building remotely to monitor fluctuations and manage them using SCADA techniques. In essence, it describes the implementation of smart building techniques to reduce energy consumption using SCADA strategies. The SCADA system is responsible for supervising a building located at a distance and ensuring that equipment is maintained and controlled at an optimal level, ultimately enabling comprehensive building control with highly efficient controllers.
