Abstract:
Recent years,civil engineers have done extensive studies about stability, improving and increasing shear resistance of slopes.Bearing capacity of the embankment for constructional foundations and/or in front of traffic loads is one of the most important parameters that affects on the behavior of slopes and is very important in terms of engineering. Hence, this paper is study the effect of different slopes on load bearing for embankments that reinforcedwith geogrid layers.Research aimed to obtain the optimal placement of the geogrid layers for different slopes and study the effect of slopes on the bearing capacity of soil.The results showed that the optimum number of geogrid layers to improving the bearing capacity of foundations based on slopes is 6 layers and optimal depth of geogrid is equal to 0.5 H. ( H is the vertical height of embankment
