Studying the effects of Dorsomorphin and Resveratrol on humanbreast cancer cells abstract

Currently, breast cancer is known as the most common disease in women worldwide and despite all theimprovements in the medical and therapeutic industries, it still causes death worldwide. Nevertheless, it isessential to approach signaling pathways to offer effective treatment solutions according to the complexity ofcancer cell progression. In the present study, we aimed to show the effect of two compounds named asDorsomorphin and Resveratrol on cancer cells. In this study, MDA-MB-231 as a triple-negative model ofmalignant cells, and MCF10 as benign cells, were used. The effect of Dorsomorphin and Resveratrol on bothMDA-MB-231 and MCF10 breast cancer cell lines was examined using viability MTT assays. These results showthat Dorsomorphin acts as an inhibitor of cell growth by increasing doses and its effect is about 7% lower onnon-tumor cells compared to tumor cells. However, Resveratrol increases cell growth in both cell lines byincreasing doses and its effect is about 18% higher on the MCF10 cell line. so these results suggested thatDorsomorphin inhibits cell growth which has stronger effect on tumor (MDA-MB-231) cells compared to nontumor(MCF10) cells. on the other hand, Resveratrol promotes cell viability in both cell lines specially moreeffect on non-tumor cells. These findings indicate that Dorsomorphin targets tumor cells, while Resveratrolcould enhance growth in normal cells.
