Function of Cyclin Dependent kinase in cancers abstract
Cyclin-dependent kinases (CDKs) are essential regulators of the cell cycle and transcription, significantly influencing various cellular functions. This research focuses on the role of CDKs in cancer, particularly their dysregulation and effects on tumor growth, progression, and resistance to treatment. Key CDK subtypes, like CDK 7, CDK 9, and CDK 11, are examined for their contributions to cancer cell proliferation, metastasis, and therapeutic resistance. The study delves into molecular profiling to uncover the mechanisms of CDK activity, including their interactions with oncogenes and tumor suppressors. Results indicate that CDK inhibitors, such as BS-181, hold potential as targeted therapies for addressing resistance in cancers such as triple-negative breast cancer and gastric cancer.
