Development and Validation of High Performance Liquid Chromatography for Assay of Linezolid 600 mg tablets abstract

Linezolid is part of a group of antibiotics known as oxazolidinones. This drug is effective on methicillin-resistant gram-positive bacteria. It is considered a part of new antibiotics that are used in the treatment of some diseases, including diabetic foot infection without osteomyelitis, respiratory infections, and hospital infections caused by gram-positive bacteria sensitive to the drug. Considering the growing trend of consumption linezolid tablets, the necessity of its quality control is felt more than ever. Accurate control of the amount of active substance in this drug requires the use of a sensitive analytical method that has sufficient precision and accuracy. The purpose of this research is to determine the amount of active substance in the tablet through the establishment and validation of a high-performance liquid chromatography method.
