The purpose of the present study is to investigate the correct culture of reading and how it exists for students. The importance of reading is very vital for humans because humans need it to survive. One of the most important goals of the present study is to remind students of reading and building their knowledge through research methods. The target population for the present study is students in elementary, junior high, and senior high school.
This study aimed to investigate the factors affecting reading motivations among 304 students in the fifth grade of elementary school, third grade of middle school, and twelfth grade. This sample was selected in a cluster manner and the MRQ reading motivation questionnaire was provided to them. The findings of the study showed that the students studied had more or less all reading motivations and the level of these motivations was ranked from weak to moderate.
"Competition", "importance", "pleasure" and "score" were among the motivations that were at a higher level in the students studied compared to the others, and the motivations of avoiding studying, studying for social reasons, studying for the purpose of challenge and homework received lower scores than the other motivations.
The findings from testing the research hypotheses include: importance, recognition, score, and competition motives, which have a significant difference in terms of their level of enjoyment.
The present study was conducted using dynamic Ghasemi approaches in the form of descriptive qualitative research. Various methods of making studying effective for students were selected and implemented so that students could take action on effective and useful studying in a useful and friendly atmosphere.
