Abstract:

Although all the Group VIII nanomaterials are catalytically active in various reactions, nickel remains the favored nanocatalyst for the reactions by virtue of its life, high activity, and it's comparatively low cost. In this studyNi/Al2O3 nanocatalysts with total metallic contents of 30% in mass have been prepared by an incipient wetness impregnation method. In order to get the desired total metallic content, we have been suggested to try different numberof steps of impregnation and have been investigated the effects of number of impregnation steps on the performances of nickel nanocatalysts with 30 wt% nominal metal content supported on γ-Al2O3 for decomposition of hydrazine. We have been synthesized three nickel nanocatalysts by 30 wt % nominal metal content. Number one prepared with 3 steps, number two prepared with 6 steps and number three synthesized with 9 steps. The characterizations of these nanocatalysts were performed by measurement techniques of ICP and XRD. The results of our research show that when we produce nickel nanocatalyst with total metallic contents of 30% in mass using more impregnation steps, particle size is smaller and it was important influences on nanocatalyst activity, so represents better performance in decomposition of hydrazine.
