Abstract:
Medical images must be secured while being used in telediagnosis applications over an insecure network. Confidentiality of medical images is an important factor when they are being exchanged between clinicians. Researches being studied in the literature may overcome some of these issues but cannot address all of them in one try. This paper proposes a genetic-based random key in an OTP (one time pad) encryption system using image bits. The image is being broken down into row blocks to be ready for encryption purpose. After the encryption process, because of its double-numeral nature, no one will recognize whether it is an encrypted image or text. Regardless of its random keys, one time pad encryption system, and numerical nature, it will be turned to be a high secure medical image encryption system.
