Abstract:

This paper introduces hybrid Photovoltaic/Fuel Cell and battery generation system for a variable load that is not located near the electrical grid. A new modeling of the system with variable load profiles is introduced according to energy point of view. In the proposed system a high degree of optimization parameters such as the PV tilt angle, the numbers of fuel cell start and stop cycles, and variable load have been considered, then studying on the influence of the load power profiles variations on the optimal configuration have been carried out. Genetic algorithm is used to design the optimal hybrid system. Numerical results prove the efficiency and effectiveness of the proposed model in practical operation too.
