Abstract:
Reading real time data is needed by Smart Grids to have a real time control. It is not possible to control an actual situation if the measures that the control system handles have been taken a long time before. Advanced metering infrastructure is a smart grid part which uses smart meters for reading, load managing and load control. The need of local reading of meters is removed by utilizing smart meters.
