Abstract:

Thousands of new buildings are being demolished, rebuilt or renovated every day, and all of these processes involve the production of pollutants as well as the consumption of resources and energy. Therefore, how to plan to achieve maximum utilization while saving resources and also knowing how to reduce the pollutants left by the building, in the face of climate change caused by the use of incorrect methods, is important in looking to the future of this industry. Adaptive reuse is an effective strategy for optimizing buildings. While the benefits of adaptive reuse have been widely stated and experienced, the need to address it more than ever before due to the increasing problems caused by climate change is a solution to the role of the construction industry in looking to the future. Adaptive reuse, by eliminating the production of materials left from demolition and also significantly reducing materials and energy compared to a completely new construction, is a solution to the dream of building with climate change.
