Abstract:
The aim of this study is to investigate human resource management sector of south pars gas complex company based on strategic approach. Accordingly, after study theoretical frameworkand using strategic planning tools, appropriate analysis and strategies provided by using SWOT method. This study is application and descriptive – analytical in terms of purpose and methodology. In this research, data about conditions and major practices of human resourcemanagement collected by questionnaire. Thus, the current status of HRM evaluated in four dimensions including recruitment and human resource planning, human resource development, compensation system and labor relations and then strengths/weaknesses together withopportunities/threats of these four dimensions were derived as internal and external factors. The results show the company has not suitable position in all dimensions and encounters with minor weakness and threat for internal and external factors respectively. Hence, the optimal strategies and solutions of HRM have been formulated by emphasis on defensive strategies.
