MPPT CONTROLLER WITH FUZZY METHOD BASED ON A SEPIC CONVERTER abstract
To achieve maximum power output with no physical change in a solar array requires the use of a maximum power point tracking (MPPT) technique. The Current-Voltage(I-V) characteristics of a photovoltaic (PV) array depend on the cell temperature and solar irradiation. In this paper, a fuzzy method for maximum power point tracking has been presented and simulated. The duty cycle that is obtained by the fuzzy method was based on the Sepic converter. Finally the results were compared with the neural network technique. Using the fuzzy method, the optimal growth is closer to the calculated values and the maximum error is 0.0551 while using the neural network method, it is 0.1218. That is shown the applied width pulse is optimized.
