Developing finite differences model TGMSS to simulating island’s aquifer by using spreadsheet abstract

Transient Groundwater Modeling using Spreadsheet (TGMSS) for the first time is developed and used by Halil Karahan et al. This model is based on using Alternatin Direction Implicit method(ADIM) and by using that some aquifers are simulated [1], [2], [3]. Keramati Kerman and Mansoori developed and compared this model by using explicit, implicit and matrix methods for a limited aquifer in an hypothetical island and stated which explicit and implicit have the bestconformity with the criterion result [4]. Ability to determine accuracy and number of iterations, 2D and 3D graphical illustration and simplicity using are Some advantages of spreadsheet. Poisson equation is the governer equation which in simulating groundwater flow in this case andfinite difference form of poisson equation are presented here as equation (1). Which n hi, j is the hydraulic head in the (i. j) cell and in the primary time step,1 , n hi j is the hydraulic head in the (i. j) cell and in the secondary time step, n hi, j ~ hydraulic head of gauss-seidelapproximation in the primary time step and in (i. j) cell, S is storage ability of aquifer, T is transmissivity of aquifer, ΔT is the differences between time steps, R is term of input or output of the system,  is implicit method weighted coefficient and a is area of cells.
