Abstract:

The ever increasing household electricity consumption in Iran and the growing pressure on distribution networks have made the need for intelligent tools for energy monitoring and management more critical than ever. In this study, a smart household fuse based on the Internet of Things (IoT) was designed and developed. Utilizing the ESP۸۲۶۶ microcontroller, ACS۷۱۲ current sensor, ZMPT۱۰۱B voltage sensor, DHT۱۱ temperature and humidity sensor, and a ۰.۹۱ inch OLED display, the device accurately measures, records, and processes voltage, current, instantaneous power, and environmental conditions. The collected data are simultaneously displayed on both the onboard screen and a dedicated web platform, enabling users to visualize and analyze their electricity consumption trends over intervals of one hour, one day, one week, and one month. In addition to monitoring, the system also features alert generation and automatic circuit disconnection under abnormal or unsafe conditions. Experimental results demonstrate a current measurement accuracy of _x۰۰۰۰_B۱۲% and a system response time of less than ۸۰ milliseconds. This smart fuse provides a practical and efficient solution for optimized household energy management, helping to reduce electricity costs, enhance network safety, and deliver a user friendly and reliable experience in smart home environments.
