Abstract:
Rubber dams known as Inflated Dam, Flexi Dam, Rubber Dams, or Flexible Membrane Dam Inflatable are known to manufacturers, designers and researchers of rubber dams. The principles of using such a device were stated in year ۶ by a French engineer named Mesnager. But the idea of building a dam made of synthetic materials, including rubber, was first proposed by Norman Imberston, head of the Department of Water and Power Engineering in Los Angeles, and shortly thereafter, the first rubber dam in the city [۱]. The results were not predictable at first, but in advanced countries due to the importance of new ideas and ideas in engineering, they made the necessary investments in research and this led to the development of this industry. Therefore, it can be said that the history of this innovation and the use of rubber dams reaches about ۵ years and since then such dams around the world have been raised and welcomed as a water structure.
