Developing Non-Newtonian Flow between Two Parallel Plates abstract
The hydrodynamic developing of non-Newtonian turbulent flow in the entrance between two parallel plates is obtained numerically by solving the modified Navier – Stokes equations. Velocity profile pressure gradient , entrance length and Fanning friction factor are presented for this case. By starting the calculations at the duct inlet and using finite volume technique, power – law fluid and Quick method for approximate convective terms, it was possible to predict flow behavior.
