Abstract:

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is revolutionizing various sectors, and its impact on cybersecurity is profound. This paper explores how AI technologies are transforming cybersecurity practices, both enhancing defenses against evolving threats and presenting new challenges. Key areas of impact include threat detection, vulnerability assessment, incident response, and the ethical considerations arising from AI's integration into cybersecurity frameworks. AI-driven systems enable real-time analysis of massive datasets, uncovering hidden patterns and detecting anomalies that traditional methods may overlook. By predicting and mitigating potential vulnerabilities, AI strengthens cybersecurity postures preemptively. However, the rapid adoption of AI also introduces challenges such as algorithmic biases, data privacy concerns, and the potential for adversarial attacks. Addressing these issues requires a balanced approach, ensuring that AI advancements contribute positively to cybersecurity while minimizing associated risks. The ongoing evolution of AI in cybersecurity underscores its dual role as both a powerful tool and a potential threat, demanding continuous evaluation and adaptation.
