Abstract:
The process of construction is often characterized by significant time investment and high costs, making it challenging to maximize its efficiency and effectiveness. At the same time, ongoing advancement of innovative technologies, coupled with their ability to enhance the efficiency and convenience of daily life and work, has led to an increasing prominence of the subject of intelligent buildings. The integration of Building Information Modeling (BIM), Virtual Reality (VR), and the Internet of Things (IoT) has emerged as a pivotal advancement in the realms of construction and engineering, significantly transforming traditional practices and enhancing project efficiency. They are used together to improve the design and service delivery of buildings, which in turn leads to cost savings, improved efficiency, and higher quality of delivery. This article aims to explore the effects of combining Building Information Modeling (BIM), Virtual Reality (VR), and Internet of Things (IoT) technologies, highlighting the substantial advantages that arise from their integration. The findings of this study indicate that the incorporation of Building Information Modeling (BIM), Virtual Reality (VR), and Internet of Things (IoT) technologies-three contemporary advancements in the construction sector-facilitates teams in visualizing and assessing a three-dimensional model, synchronizing digital project models with real-time information, and concurrently enhancing the management of project resources and timelines with greater precision.
