Abstract:
Effective stakeholder management is widely recognized as one of the fundamental pillars for achieving sustainability objectives in the construction industry. This paper presents a comprehensive review of the scholarly literature published between ۲۰۲۰ and ۲۰۲۵ focusing on stakeholder management in sustainable construction projects. The primary objective of this study is to identify critical success factors (CSFs), major challenges, stakeholder analysis methods, and to elucidate the close relationship between stakeholder management and the three dimensions of sustainability (economic, social, and environmental). Using a systematic review methodology, key findings were extracted from core sources. The results indicate that transparency, early engagement, and trust-building are the most influential success factors. Additionally, resistance to change and imbalances in stakeholder power were identified as the main challenges. This review highlights existing research gaps, particularly the integration of advanced analytical tools with sustainability models and the need for context-specific stakeholder management frameworks tailored to regional conditions.
