Abstract:
This research work aims to analyze the static analysis of rectangular nanoplates based on two variable refined plate theory using the strain gradient elasticity theory. A closed form solution for bending analysis of simply supported nanoplates is obtained. Comparison study is performed to verify the validity of the present results. Additionally, the influences of different parameters such as internal length scale parameter on the numerical results are also studied. From the best knowledge of authors, it is the first that bending analysis of nanoplates based on two variable refined theory using strain gradient elasticity theory is investigated and it is hoped that this research will lead to more detailed models on nanoplates.
