Abstract:
In the present study, laminar forced convection of nanofluid (TiO2) through a horizontal channel with three heat sources attached to its bottom wall is investigated. The top and bottom walls of the channel are insulated. The governing equations are numerically solved by the control volume approach based on the SIMPLE technique. The effects of the parameters such as Reynolds number and nanoparticles volume fraction on the heat transfer and maximum temperature of heat sources are studied. The results show that using nanofluid as a coolant enhances the channel performance and decrease the maximum temperature of heat sources.
