Strength, Elasticity and Deformation Characteristics of Composite Geomaterial Containing Tire Shreds abstract

Tire sherds from waste tires tires were used as a base material in an effort to produce a composite geomaterial that are lightweight, free-draining and compressible to an adjustable limit for practical application as inclusions or layers in retaining well backfill. Laboratory tests were carried out to determine the strength, elasticity and deformation characteristics of several design mix utilizing several material as binders and fillers.
