Seismic Evaluation and Rehabilitation of Irregular Concrete Structures abstract
Regarding earthquake-reported damages, it is essential to conduct evaluation and rehabilitate irregular reinforced concrete structures within a plan using composite material. There are different irregularities most of which occur in plans both triggering torsional abnormalities in the structure and influencing on its seismic rehabilitation. The present study evaluates 1) effect of irregularity of plan on seismic respond of reinforced-concrete structure and 2) application of composite material as an effective technique for improving irregular reinforced-concrete buildings. A full-scale experimental model was modeled and simulated to validate provided results using Finite Element software. According to simulation and validation of results from linear and non-linear analyses, and to make sure of valid results from finite element simulation of the structure and reasonable consistency of modeling results and experimental analyses of Elsa laboratory, the present study examined ductility, maximum drift, relative store drift and dynamic characteristics of the model
