A Five Lump Model for Fluid Catalytic Cracking Process abstract
This paper presents a five lump model for fluidized catalytic cracking process. The model was simulated for different temperatures and feed compositions in order to investigate their effects on product yields. The kinetic model differential equations were solved using a fourth order Runge-Kutta method in order to evaluate FCC product yield-conversion relationships. Good predictions of gas oil, gasoline, LPG, dry gas, and coke yields were obtained from the kinetic model, with low deviation with respect to experimental information.
