A new flexible method for modeling of extractive distillation columns abstract
In this research, two film model has been investigated for absorption of acid gas by alkanolamine solutions. In this model thermodynamic equilibrium exist only for H2S specie at each point of film and bulk of liquid. Calculation of CO2 and H2S concentration profile in liquid film is the most difficulty and time consuming part in the mathematical solution. In this paper numerical solution has been applied, by transforming the non linear second order of partial differential equations to linear equation and matrix solution. The results of model have been compared by available
plant data. Good agreement between the models computed results and plant (Khangiran MEA and Ahvaz-1 DEA gas refinery, Iran) data has been found.
