parametric analysis of indirect evaporative coolers abstract
In this paper, the effects of physical and geometrical parameters such as the air velocity, and plate spacing of the heat exchanger on thermal performance of indirect evaporative cooler (IEC) are compared. The results show that a smaller channel width and a lower velocity of the air stream yield a better performance. Investigation on using different types of the IEC shows that the performance of IEC with cross flow configuration is higher than the another types and the optimum size of the plates depends on the plate spacing and has been found for cross flow type.
