Abstract:
Non Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drugs (NSAIDs) are known as most common drugs used to reduce pain, fever and inflammation [1]. According to this subject synthesis of new medicines based on 3,5-pyrazolidine-dione (Phenyl Butazones) are very important for medicinal chemists. In this work a one-pot method for the synthesis of 6-amino-4-aryl-3-oxo-1,2-diphenyl-1,2,3,4-tetrahydropyrano[2,3,c]pyrazole-carbonitrile has been developed. 1,2-diphenylpyrazolidine-3,5-diones react with aromatic aldehydes and malononitrile in the presence of an organic base affording tetrahydropyrano[2,3,c]pyrazole structures. Structure elucidation is carried out by 1H-NMR, 13C-NMR and FT-IR. The mechanism of the formation also has been discussed.
