Abstract:
Seymareh dam site and the associated power planet are located on Seymareh River approximately 40 km northwest of Dare-shahr town in Ilam province. The dam is mainly built to use Seymareh river water potential to generate electricity . The Study area is located in Zagros Mountain Range ,covering part of Ilam and Lurestan province(45046'to 470 03' E , 330 00' to 330 30' N).Traditionally , peak acceleration (PGA) has been used to define ground motion in the equivalent -statics -force procedures for seismic design of a structure .Today the preferred parameters and methods are Response Spectral Acceleration (RSA) and acceleration time -histories in dynamic analysis. The response spectra is a plot of the maximum values of acceleration, velocity , and /or displacement response of a single degree -of-freedom oscillator ,subjected to the particular earthquake ,for a given damping and for a spectrum of frequencies .The values of response spectra of ground motion can be defined by using standard codes or site -specific procedure .Site -specific response spectra correspond to those expected on the basis of seismological and geological calculations using either the deterministic or probabilistic seismic hazard analysis method. The resulting spectra for the mean horizontal and the vertical components by Cambell & Bozorgnia(2003), Ambraseys & Douglas (2003)& Joyner ,Boore and Fumal (1997) Response Spectra models for this purpose three different deterministic , probabilistic and statistical methods are used. The definitions of design earthquakes and seismic design levels including DBL,MDL and MCL.
