Abstract:
Transcription factors include a big group of proteins which regulate transcription due to their DNA-binding domain. MYB gene families are a group of transcription factors which has a role in proliferation, differentiation, apoptosis and cancer in vertebrates. As the biggest family in plants, they are involved in hormonal signaling pathway, morphology control, secondary metabolites, disease resistance and response to cell stress. MYB genes can be utilized as molecular tools for producing and increasing the valuable plant metabolites. Complicated structure and often ill-effects of pharmaceutical, industrial and food compounds which are used for chemical synthesis as well as their low concentration and production in plants are considered major obstacles of their production. So using and transformation of these transcription factors in synthesis pathways is a main procedure researchers are going to use in the future. No need to fully understanding the biosynthesis pathways and also saving the time are the most important reasons and advantages of using these factors. For example engineering the Flavonoid compound by MYB transcription factors of flavonoid pathway has caused the activation of this pathway and increasing the final product.
