Mental hospital room design strategies based on the principles of environmental psychology

Discussion about mental illness especially psychotic disorders in history has always been the case and space of all hospitalized patient is important. Hospitalized space including areas that affect the patient's mental state. Poorly designed so that exacerbate behavioral disorders and anxiety in them. This research studying space has been hospitalized psychiatric patients and so what have needs sick person in this space? Can provide a specific spatial pattern in which the favorable environment created for admission? To achieve these goals in this research the role of environmental psychology has been in a mental hospital rooms by descriptive-analytical discussed. By studying two group from sick person them reaction about hospitalized room was check out. The result shown that sick person in room with a good view of the nature of light and color have less time to hospitalized and average stay is less sedative medication use. Due to these needs by composition solution that exist in previous research can suggested method for building and design space mentally illness and by relaying on the principle of environmental psychology create a more favorable environment during the hospitalization
