Abstract:
Micro-grid power management is one of the most important topics during the design stage and also the operation of micro-grids. In the islanding condition, it is a prerequisite to control the crucial quantities of the micro-grid via an appropriate control strategy, because of the absence of the national power network. In this paper, a predictive control approach is employed to properly control the power and voltage at the connection point of the load and the utility. The proposed control technique is implemented on a case study to illustrate the efficacy of the controller. The case study consists of two distributed generation (DG) units which are connected together in the islanding condition to feed an electric load with specified power
