An Improvement of Power Management in Micro-grids: Model Predicative Control Strategy

Micro-grid power management is one of the most important topics during the design stage and also the operation of micro-grids. In the islanding condition, it is a prerequisite to control the crucial quantities of the micro-grid via an appropriate control strategy, because of the absence of the national power network. In this paper, a predictive control approach is employed to properly control the power and voltage at the connection point of the load and the utility. The proposed control technique is implemented on a case study to illustrate the efficacy of the controller.
