Abstract:

Among the problems that can make energy losses and instability in the electronic network, exciting unbalanced load and harmonic in power system. Problems caused by the unbalanced load and changing waveform of current and voltage are increasing the iron and copper losses of transformers, reducing the life of the insulation equipment. In this paper, for resolving unbalanced load problems by taking the idea of harmonic filter design, a new filter with balanced capacitor bank is designed. In the next stage, passive filter is designed for the reactive power compensation and load harmonic reducing. In the next stage, two filters combined together as an equivalent RLC filter with balanced capacitor bank for reducing harmonic in the circuit and resolving unbalanced load problem. Harmonic decreasing and balanced load will be caused power losses reducing; on the other hand it will be increased customer satisfaction. At the each stage, the simulation results based on MATLAB Software are presented and compared in the table
