Abstract:

Electrocardiogram (ECG) is a time-varying electrical signal that interprets the electrical activity of the heart. There are many clinical contexts in which ECGs are used, such as medical diagnosis, physiological therapy and arrhythmia monitoring. In this study we use LMS adaptive digital filters and signal averaging method to eliminate power line interference and the other noises there are in ECG signal. Adaptive techniques are advantageous because they do not require a priori knowledge of the signal or noise characteristics as do fixed filters. Signal averaging method is an efficient approach for canceling white noise.
