Enhancing Quality of Working Life of Faculty Members

Quality of Work Life (QWL) refers to the favourableness or unfavourableness of a job environment for people. Several Research Studies in the world have measured the Quality of Work of Employee‟s in Industries, Universities, Schools, Government and Non Government Organizations. The Purpose of this study is enhancing the QWL of teachers in their workplace, based on the review of literature. The descriptive method of research was used for the study. The population of the present research was 1640 in Panjab University, India and Shiraz University, Iran. The sample consisted of 400 from above Population. For selection of the sample, stratified random sampling techniques were used. The researcher administered the questionnaire to all these selected respondents. The distributions of sample of the present study, collected based on their gender, teaching experience, academic position, age and faculties. significant differences were observed among perception of faculty members ofPanjab and Shiraz Universities regarding enhancing of their quality of work life.
