Modification of the Maxwell Model for prediction of MMMs’ performance with the formed voids

Mixed matrix membranes are new promising generations of membrane prepared by incorporation proper filler particles into polymeric matrices and potentially have better separation performances than both phases of filler and polymer. However, some undesired phenomena like the void formation around the incorporated filler particles prevent potential separation performance improvement.
