Abstract:

Four 1/3 scale masonry brickwork infilled steel frame test specimens were loaded cyclically to corner crushing by gradually incrementing a horizontal shearing force applied at upper beam in each case. Characteristics of the specimens were varied so that the effects of joint reinforcement, and the use of the bond-beam can be evaluated. some of more important experimental results such as diagonal cracking and corner crushing strength of panel and ductility behaviour of infilled frame are presented and discussed. The experimental specimens have been investigated. Using Minimum crack pattern method and finites element program, which. Which is capable to predict the cracking pattern and shear strength.
