Abstract:

Two CuO/ZnO/Al2O3 nanocatalysts are synthesized via urea-nitrate combustion with different urea to nitrates ratios toproduce hydrogen via steam reforming of methanol. Different characterization techniques were utilized to analyse theirproperties. XRD proved the crystallinity of active phase metallic oxides. FESEM illustrated nonometric scale of catalystsand also better surface morphology of U/N=1 nanocatalyst. EDX illustrated the presence of all elements in the structureand finally catalytic performance tests proved that U/N=1 nanocatalyst is better in both methanol conversion and low COselectivity. It also had good stability in SRM reaction for 1800 min.
