Abstract:

In this work CoFe2O4 nanoparticles (NPs) with diameters ranging from 2‐10 nanometers (nm) have beensynthesized. Reverse micelles followed by thermal treatment at different temperature have been used to prepare NPs. Influence of heat treatment on crystallinity and magnetic properties have been investigated. The structure, composition and morphology of the prepared NPs were characterized using by X‐Ray diffraction (XRD), Forier transform infrared (FTIR), Tarnmission electron microscope (TEM), Energy‐dispersive spectroscopy (EDS) and Simultaneous thermal analysis (STA). The magnetic properties were investigated by the vibration sample magnetometer (VSM). XRD and FT‐IR results showed that the spinel structures have been well produced. The FT‐IR measurements between 400 and 4000 cm‐1 confirmed the intrinsic cation vibration of spinel structure for each one of samples. The saturation magnetization of the samples increased with heat treatment temperature.
