Abstract:

This report looks into the comparative microstructural and mechanical features of fusion welds (TIG) and solid-state welds (FSW) of Al–1101 aluminum alloy. Microstructures of base metal and welded zones are analyzed by optical microscopy(OM). Mechanical properties of welding methods such hardness, Ys and bending ability were compared The results indicated that the FSW joints exhibit higher mechanical properties than those obtained by TIG. YS of welded joints decreases by 202 for FSW and 012 for TIG also observed reduction of hardness Compared to base metal, in TIG is more than FSW, and TIG has better bending properties compared to FSW.
