Abstract:

Presented in this paper is the doubly-fed induction generator control in wind energy conversion system via adaptive neuro-fuzzy inference system. The system is modeled within the positive synchronous reference frame under conditions which bear a distorted grid voltage. Also, simulation of DFIG is done in MATLAB SIMULINK environment. In order to improve system responses during grid harmonic distortions we propose four alternative control targets. The fundamental, the fifth, and seventh-order components of rotor currents are directly regulated by ANFIS based controller. The proposed controller proved to be effective through simulation studies practiced on a 2.0-MW wind-turbine-driven DFIG system. A comparison of the conventional PI, PI-R controller and ANFIS based controller performance is done based on a test system. Comparing the response of ANFIS based controller and the conventional PI, PI-R controller the former is appeared to be more efficient.
