Abstract:
With respect to widely usages of benzoic acid in different industries recognition whose solubility data and introduce a suitable solvent for it extract, improves separation and purification processes of this compound. In this study solubility data of benzoic acid was investigated in species of aqueous and organic different solvents for ranged of various temperatures and was compared together. The result revealed that the maximum amount of benzoic acid solubility occurs in acetone and ethanol solvents respectively. In aqueous and organic mixtures the solubility increased with increasing the mass fraction of organic phase in the mixture. Also the maximum temperature dependence of benzoic acid solubility is dealing with water + DMF (x DMF= 3.4 %) mixture and pure acetic acid respectively. Solubility values of benzoic acid in two different solvents increased up to 8.22 fold (822 %) and up to 5.1 fold (510 %) with increasing the temperature up to 38.6 K and 53.7 K respectively.
