Abstract:
Removal SO2 done by designed plant in laboratory and industrial scale has been always an important issue and it is because of its harmful effect on environment and human health. Flue gas desulphurization (FGD) is the widest applied technology for reducing SO2 emissions in the industry. Among all designed method wet flue gas desulfurization (WFGD) is the most prevalent method. This study is going to introduce a novel ways of SO2 elimination from flue gas which is investigated as a selective absorption with high performance in the research center of Abadan University of Technology. Experiments show that the ability of SO2 absorption by this sorbent is up to 8500 ppm and can decrease its concentration to the standard threshold
