Identification of the Causes and Consequences of Coordination between the Components of Multilevel Supply Chain:Case Study of Automotive Companies abstract

The aim of this article is to identify the causes and consequences of coordination between the components of multilevel supply chain based on qualitative content analysis and a case study on automotive companies. This research has been conducted using descriptive-survey method. The statistical population of the research consisted of managers, directors and experts in the field of supply chain and statistical sample was selected from this population by using simple random sampling method. The tool used for data collection was literature review, semi-structured interview and questionnaire and to assess the validity and reliability of the qualitative tool, triangular method, members’ evaluation method and paired assessment and to assess content validity of the questionnaire, faculty members and experts were consulted. Reliability was assessed by a pretest on 30 individuals and validity and reliability of the questionnaire was established. Data extracted from 276 questionnaires served as the basis for testing the research hypotheses and conceptual model of the research was determined through exploratory factor analysis. Results of statistical tests showed that seven factors including customization, environmental changes, Adaptation, quality of communication, organizational agility, creating community of practice and cost optimization can be mentioned as causes and consequences of multilevel supply chain coordination and by using them even coordination success can be assessed.
