Abstract:

The dynamics of the new development models against the changes in the twentieth century consist of knowledge management, quality management, organizational health and safety, organizational learning and research-development activities. But the relations between all these variables with intrapreneurship, performance and effectiveness are not known yet. The studies about the relations of knowledge management, quality management, organizational health and safety on organizations and individuals are limited in the literature and in Turkey. In our research we used questionnaire method to the convenient sampled 284 employees in Istanbul. Our results show that there are strong positive relations between knowledge management, quality management, occupational health and safety. If the standardization tools and multiple quality management systems are implemented in one integrated system like ISO 9001, 14001 and 18001 managing can be easier than separated systems. Integration is justified as a function of the benefits that it provides; certifiable management systems that work separately are more bureaucratic and costly, and generate poorer results than those obtained employing integration. We suggest the managers in order to increase their employees’ perceived role performance and encourage intrapreneurship in their organizations; they should use integrated institutional infrastructural tools and quality management systems, so they can increase their organizational effectiveness.
