Simulating and comparing the VC and Fuzzy Control Methods of Doubly Fed Induction Generator abstract

Using the doubly fed induction generator is one of the most widely used methods for the utilization of the wind energy. The doubly-fed generators are better in the applications of limited-range speed control and large capacity case due to the partially rated inverter, high reliability and lower cost. The study presented a simulation to control a doubly fed induction generator. One of the common and complicated control methods, based on the digital signal processor, is vector control. In this paper, the vector control method is simulated; the results show that this method could not track possible created error in grid. Therefore, the fuzzy control based on vector control is presented. In addition to, the active and reactive power is controlled by the fuzzy better than the VC in the doubly-fed induction generator. Also, the active and the reactive power reach the favorite state before 10s after starting the simulation in the fuzzy and in the VC, it is not seen
