Abstract:

As requirements of modern world, big industries play impressive roles in countries’ advancements.However, inevitable adverse consequences of major accidents can result in gigantic costs and losses irritating as a whole the world in accordance with Ice Berg Philosophy. This is while integrated HSE management systems are to be established for diminishing such intolerable results. In this study, it is aimed to introduce a software program (MATLAB R2013a) to enhance HSE management by performing risk assessment and presenting steering recommendations based on definitions in methodology. The program gives managers the data on risk level, average risk factors and their fluctuations, risk source percentages, the highest/lowest risk sources and finally correcting acts for each source and all operating zone. In this case, the manager gets aware of his zone conditions as deficiencies, good points, safety climate, required reformations etc. and may achieve more ability in handling HSE-MS. As case study South Pars Gas Company, phase1 is brought into analysis via artificial intelligence. Input information relate to year 2012 in format of incident report. The reports are studied to find risk sources probabilities and severities by neglecting other risks not reported as incidents. Hence, the analysis is computational backward incident-based management system toolbox, which can receive more applications in industrial HSE-MS helping managers with less hand calculations, different output graphs and corresponding managing comments. Actually, it may be served as an artificial HSE steering committee.
