Daphnia magna as live vector using for probiotics lactobacilli and yeast (S.cerevisiae ( in promotion of growth performance of Persian sturgeon (Acipenser persicus) larvae abstract
In this study
Daphnia magna as a
live vector were used in feeding of
Persian sturgeon (Acipenser persicus) larvae. This feeding study was done in two different trials. This experiment was conducted in a completely random design. In first trial the D. magna were bioencapsulated with three concentrations of 8, 8.30 and 8.48 Log CFU/liter and fed by Acipenser persicus larvae in experimental treatment of sturgeon-2 to sturgeon-4 respectively. In control (sturgeon-1) the fish larvae were fed by
Daphnia magna without bioencapsulation with yeast. In second trial the blends of Lactobacillus plantarum, L. delbrueckii subsp., L. acidophilus and L. rhamnosus as a commercial
probiotic were used for bioencapsulated of
Daphnia magna in three concentration of 2×107, 4×107 and 6×107 cells per liter in suspension of broth and fed by A. persicus larvae in experimental treatments (treatments of A1, A2 and A3). In both of trials, the Persian Sturgeon larvae were fed on the base of the 3 percent of their body weight for six times a day. The results indicated that the S. cerevisiae significantly enhanced leveles of body composition in experimental treatments in comparison with control (p0.05). In experimental treatments the yeast of S. cerevisiae had positive and significant effects on the final body weight, feed conversion efficiency (FCR) and
Lipid Productive Value (LPV) (p0.05). Also the results indicated in second trail, that the blends of
probiotic lactobacillus significantly promoted levels of crude protein, carcass dry matter and ash in experimental treatments in comparison with control treatment (p0.05), but in the treatment A3, the crude Lipid was significantly decreased (p0.05). In this studyThe significant positive correlation was observed between the levels of carcass dry matter (N=12, P<0.05, r=0.58), crude protein (N=12, P<0.05, r=0.70) and ash with CFU/liter of
probiotic lactobacillus in suspension of broth. Results of this study also showed that using bioenriched
Daphnia magna with different concentration of probiotics lactobacilli and S. cerevisiae could cause different effects on growth parameters and feeding efficiency.
