Abstract:

Todays in order to optimal usage of existing water resources in an area or to economized dam dimensions, optimizer models are used considerably. Since the solution of these models, often by using analytical methods is not possible, developing of heuristic algorithms is absolutely essential. In this paper in order to understand the application of heuristic algorithms usage, the rationing of Latian dam reservoir volume has been applied to provide monthly need of downstream. In this paper, the results of Particle swarm, Colonial competitive and Shuffled frog leaping algorithms have been compared to reduce maximum deficiencies. The values of objective function, time and the number of program performance indicate the powerful results of Particle swarm and Colonial competitive algorithms respect to other algorithms to achieve optimal answers, and it can be said that in terms of optimization values and the performance time, the Colonial competitive algorithm with the value of 23.0515 and the Particle swarm algorithm with 216.8 seconds have the best values
